It's almost time to go back to school, so August is chock-full of things to do outside! Check out the following opportunities to have fun and get involved in your neighborhood! More information about all of these events can be found here.
August 8 | Join us and our partner Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for the Let’s Talk Health Latino Michigan at César Chavéz Elementary School from 4:30-8:30pm. Be there to share your concerns and comments about health in the Latino community.
August 9 | Silent Observer's Light the Night Against Crime 5k run/walk gives residents a chance to take back the streets of Grand Rapids starting at 5pm from Calvin College. Our B2B team will have a booth, so stop by and check us out!
August 14 | I Believe I Become Central Zone celebrates Vital Behaviors Day with a back pack give-away in the parking lot at 1401 Madison from 11am to 2pm. 1,000 backpacks will be up for grabs!
August 14 | Share your thoughts at the Grand Rapids Public City Commission Meeting at City Hall from 7pm-9pm.
August 16 | I Believe I Become West Zone Community meeting at César Chavéz Elementary School from 5pm-8:30pm.
August 21 | GRPS Back to School Celebration at John Ball Park from 3pm-7pm - bring the whole family!
August 23 | I Believe I Become East Zone Community meeting at Campus Elementary School from 5pm-8:30pm.
August 30 | I Believe I Become Central Zone brings it back together with a community meeting to share on school-based work at Ford Middle School from 5pm-8:30pm.
September 4 | First day of school for all GRPS students. Have a great year everyone!
